The stub is the plan.

A museum day in Cairo fails at the stub, not at the statue. You buy the wrong kind of entry, you stack two campuses, you arrive at a timed door with a walk-up brain. Attraction lists do not mention this because lists are not tickets.

We file a day as three tears. Slot first — if a house runs timed entry, that clock vetoes everything after it. Window second — screening, shade, official glass. Stack last — what you refuse to add. The refuse is the plan.

How a note is written

Someone from the desk takes the door on foot. We note the kind of entry (slot or window), the last metres, whether a screenshot still opened in a tunnel, and the first hour the house felt finished. We do not rank famous objects. Famous objects move. We say whether a second house still fits on the same stub.

What we refuse to write

• Prices that pretend to be tomorrow’s pound.
• Skip stories from the car park.
• GEM plus plateau plus Tahrir as a default August day.
• Hotel names as if they were ticket windows.

If you cannot name the kind of door, you do not have a museum plan. You have a raid.

Enter 08:12. Kind of door: walk-up, not a QR funeral. Square already warming; shade none on the facade. Bag light; screening polite about a bottle we had emptied. 08:28 — ground floor stone while the eye is fresh. A front of eighteen arrives 09:15; we wait the wake rather than compete for the same colossus. 10:40 — upstairs budgeted, not leftover. 11:50 — leave with one statue still in a sentence. We did not add GEM. We did not add the plateau. The stub had one tear. That was the visit.

The method is not a list of famous objects. Famous objects move. The method is: name the kind of door, shed what the house asks, pick a wing, leave before glaze. Coach fronts are weather. You cannot lecture weather. You can refuse a second house.

The three tears, written slowly

Slot. If the house runs timed entry, that hour vetoes lunch, vetoes the plateau, vetoes “we’ll just see.” Screenshot whatever the house named that week. Cairo connections drop. A tab you cannot reload at the plaza is not a ticket. Build slack into the taxi. The slot covers the door it names. It does not cover the geology next door.

Window. Screening, shade, official glass. The queue is a gallery without objects. Plan it as a room. Noon on Tahrir’s facade is the first hall and it has little mercy. Travel light. Eat before the detector if the house is a long one. Pay a driver to wait if that is the deal. Do not outsource the ticket because the sun is annoying.

Stack. Write the refuse before the itinerary. One campus in August. GEM or Tahrir or NMEC, not a sandwich. Winter can hold more if you are honest about feet. Alexandria is never a connector jog after a Cairo morning. The train clock is already a stub of its own.

STUB dates every hour. The house at the glass still wins. A slot you miss is paper. A window you treat as a suggestion is how the square cooks you. We do not sell tickets and we do not hold GEM QRs.
